What Is a Ductless Mini-Split?
A ductless mini-split is a form of home cooling system that doesn't require ductwork. Whereas central air conditioners pump cooled air into your home and your ducts distribute it, mini-split systems cool a few rooms by distributing the air without ducts.
The system still requires separate indoor and outdoor units, but when you compare it to the cost of installing ductwork in your home (or going without air conditioning in the dangerous summer heat), you'll appreciate the benefits. They work roughly the same way as a central air conditioner by using a refrigerant to pump the hot air outside and bring the cool air inside.

No Ductwork
